Perfect Landmark for Your Inner Techie
Your inner techie will love a trip to the Hewlett Packard Garage. Less than fifteen minutes from Menlo Park Inn, visit the historic garage where the birthplace of Silicon Valley got its start. The HP garage is a private museum where the HP founders David "Dave" Packard and William "Bill" Hewlett had their first business meeting, which eventually became the workshop where the first HP product, an audio oscillator, the HP200A was created. The property can be viewed from the sidewalk and the driveway, and is nice slice of history to visit to feel the rush of the era and snag a great memorable photo. Fun Fact: One of the first HP sales was to Disney! Disney bought 8 of their theatre sound system testers to use in the production of Fantasia.
