Brush Up On California History
Do you love learning about the history of this great coast? Well, then the Museum of American Heritage is a must do while in Palo Alto. This charming museum, just a short ride from our Palo Alto hotel, and is open Fridays through Sundays from 11am – 4pm. For it’s size, the Museum of American Heritage is quite remarkable with their rare exhibits that make you feel like you stepped into another century. Check out their permanent exhibits like the Early 20th Century Kitchen, 1920s General Store, and the Marshall Mathews Garage exhibit, which is a replica of a 1920s – 40s auto repair shop and currently houses a 1915 Ford Model T Touring car. You can see all these exhibits and more that helped shape America displayed in a century-old home. and garden. The Museum of American Heritage is an interesting and affordable (admission is free!) way to spend the afternoon.
