Vintage Typwriter on a red desk

Do you consider yourself a collector, a lover of all things that have the slightest bit of historical significance? Do you enjoy TV shows like American Pickers and Pawn Stars? If so, then you will want to check out The Museum of American Heritage. This beautiful museum, which is located about 10 minutes from The Menlo Park Inn, opened its doors in 1990, showcasing the vintage machinery collection of Frank Livermore. Currently, the featured exhibit is called “In the Groove: A History of Record Players.” This unique exhibit displays a variety of vintage phonographs, jukeboxes, turntables, and music boxes. Permanent collections include detailed recreations of an early 20th-century kitchen, a 1920s General Store, and a 1920s-1940s auto repair shop called The Marshall Matthews Garage. There is even a print shop with working printing presses that are used during live demonstrations. You are sure to be impressed by the friendliness of the staff as well as the breathtaking collection.
