Art, With a Side of Fresh Brewed Coffee
As if it weren't enough to serve some of the best food in Menlo Park – think organic meats, house-made focaccia and farm-fresh local produce – Café Barrone upped the ante with art exhibits and live jazz. A Bay area fixture since 1979, this beloved eatery has legions of happy customers who come for coffee (piping hot at 6 am), relaxing lunches and dinners (indoors or out) and late-night desserts (bless them, they stay open until 11 pm every night except Sunday and Monday). On any given day, you'll find Stanford professors and students, locals and guests of Menlo Park hotels enjoying the café's energetic European vibe and genuinely friendly service. Art by local artists adorns the walls and Clint Baker's All-Stars (or other local musicians) jam on Friday nights. Oh, and did we mention it's right next door to Kepler's Bookstore?
